Prayagraj. The Yogi government is taking many new steps to give a divine, grand and grand appearance to the Mahakumbh, which is going to be organized in Prayagraj. The construction of river front along the banks of Ganga is also a part of this, the construction work of which is going on at a fast pace and it will be opened for traffic by 15th November.
The administration has estimated the arrival of more than 40 crore tourists and devotees in the Mahakumbh that is going to be organized in Prayagraj. To make their movement easier, on one hand the work of widening of roads inside and outside the city is being done at a rapid pace, while on the other hand another option for movement on the banks of Ganga is also being prepared. The construction of river front on the banks of river Ganga is going to provide great convenience to the devotees.
Additional Kumbh Mela Officer Vivek Chaturvedi says that on the lines of Mumbai's Marine Drive, about 15.25 km road is being constructed on the banks of Ganga in Prayagraj also. It is being constructed at a cost of Rs 213 crore. At present 70 percent of its construction work has been completed. It will be ready before 15th November. The river front will prove helpful in managing the crowd in the Kumbh area. It is being constructed with the help of Irrigation Department and other supporting departments.
According to Ramesh Kumar Singh, Senior Engineer of the Irrigation Department, for the convenience of the devotees in the Kumbh area, the construction of this river front being prepared on both the banks of the Ganga river is completely different from the ordinary roads. It is being constructed from interlocking, boulder crate, in which slope pitching work will also be done. This road will be developed as a model road. A bench will be installed on its side. Selfie points will also be constructed at many places. This river front is being constructed on the banks of river Ganga in many areas.
In these, construction work is currently going on from Rasulabad Ghat to Nagvasuki Temple, from Surdas to Chhatnag, to Mahavir Puri near Curzon Bridge. With the construction of the river front, the distance to the confluence will be reduced. With this, tourists will get a lot of convenience.
