Mumbai . Voting is going on for 288 seats in Maharashtra assembly elections. In this episode, actress and politician Urmila Matondkar and Bollywood actors Sonu Sood and Farhan Akhtar exercised their franchise.
The actress also urged everyone to vote during the Maharashtra Assembly elections for the betterment of the society.
The actresspolitician has also shared a video on Instagram.
In the video shared on Instagram, she is seen standing near the polling booth. Urmila is seen wearing a white shirt and brown pants. In the clip, the actress is seen posing with police officials after casting her vote. By showing his inked finger, he gave a message to the fans that he had exercised his franchise.
He wrote in the caption, “Please vote for yourself, for your children and for your society.”
Actor Sonu Sood, seen near Shiksha Bhawan area of Mumbai, also urged everyone to vote. The actor said that voting is important for the country.
“I think it is the responsibility of every citizen and it is very important,” the actor said.
Apart from this, the versatile Farhan Akhtar was seen going towards the polling booth with Zoya Akhtar and Honey Irani. After casting his vote, Farhan showed his inked finger to the photographers standing outside.
He was then heard saying, “I would urge everyone to please come out and cast their vote. It is a responsibility as a citizen of the city, the state and the country… because I have heard many people saying that Mumbai is like this and that and when you ask them whether you voted, they say ' No'. So don't complain. This is an opportunity for you to contribute as a citizen.”
After this Farhan talked about a change in the industry.
“The number of screens we have, I hope they will increase further. We are very low screen people. My appeal as an industry would be that we work with the government to build more screens where we can watch more content.”
