New Delhi . Tom Alter, who is called the Englishman of Bollywood, does not need any identity. Tall stature, loud voice and the image of 'Prince Charming', such was the character of Tom Alter. From 1970 to 2017, he worked in many films in which his acting was highly appreciated.
Because of his looks, he mostly got the roles of British officers or foreign characters. For many people, he proved to be the only British officer as a villain.
Apart from Hindi films, films like Bengali, Assamese, Malayalam also gave work to Tom Alter for English characters. Tom, who did more than 100 films in a career spanning almost four decades, was counted among the veterans of theatre.
