'Ramayana' actress Deepika Chikhalia visited Ganpati at Ballaleshwar Pali temple


Mumbai: Actress Dipika Chikhalia on Wednesday shared a glimpse of her “day trip” to the Ballaleshwar Pali Temple with her “best friends” and sought blessings of Lord Ganesha.

'Ballaleshwar Pali' is one of the eight temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha. It is located in Pali village of Raigad district of Maharashtra.

Deepika, who has 2.6 million followers, shared a reel video on Instagram, in which we can see her wearing an olive green colour coord set.

She is seen roaming around the temple premises holding a puja thali in her hand and clicking pictures.

In the video, he can be heard saying, “This is the Ashtavinayaka temple in Pali in Maharashtra. It is important to take photos.”

The post was captioned as: “One day trip on a crazy schedule… with best friends.” He also added the hashtags 'palli' and 'ganpati'.

Deepika is best known for playing the role of Sita in Ramanand Sagar's 1987 television show 'Ramayan'. The show starred Arun Govil as Ram, Sunil Lahri as Laxman and Dara Singh as Hanuman.

Deepika Chikhalia made her film debut as a lead actress in 'Sun Meri Laila' opposite Raj Kiran in 1983. She also did the Malayalam film 'Ithile Iniyum Varu' opposite Mammootty, her Kannada hits were 'Hosa Jeevan' with Shankar Nag and 'Indrajith' with Ambareesh.

She had a Tamil hit film 'Naangal' with Prabhu and a Bengali hit film 'Asha O Bhalobasha' with Prosenjit Chatterjee.

The 59yearold actor has been a part of films like 'Bhagwan Dada', 'Raat Ke Andhere Mein', 'Ghar Ka Chirag', 'Rupee Dus Crore', 'Khudai', 'Ghalib', 'Bala'.

She has acted in TV operas like 'Luv Kush', 'The Sword of Tipu Sultan'. Deepika is currently seen in the show 'Dhartiputra Nandini', in which she is playing the role of Sumitra.

'Dhartiputra Nandini' is produced by Deepika under DCT Movies and stars Shagun Singh and Aman Jaiswal in the lead roles. It is airing on 'Nazara TV'.
