Mumbai Young Pan India star Raashi Khanna recently attended an event, where she discussed about her upcoming film 'The Sabarmati Report'. During the conversation, he opened up about his experience and the inspiration behind choosing this project. When asked why she chose this film, Rashi said, “I am different as a person and as an actor. And when I get such an opportunity to show the truth, which in some way or the other have shaped our history, I will be at the forefront.”
Elaborating on the difficult decision she made to play the character, she said, “I checked my facts. It was not an easy decision and I wanted to tell about it. I wanted to understand what happened and help someone like Sabarmati.” Wanted to be a part of something special, you will see from my films what I stand for.
Raashi, who plays a journalist in the film, shared information about its message and what the audience should expect from the trailer, saying, “There are a lot of things that will probably be revealed in the trailer as well.” Apart from this, she further said, “As an actor, we have social responsibilities and I cannot just play a role about which I know what effect it will have on the audience.
Of course, we were aware of this and that's why I think our team also made a special effort. He has worked for years to bring out the truth. And that's what attracted me to this film, otherwise I would have never done it.” With the teaser recently released, the audience is curious to see what the film has to offer.
Vikrant Massey is opposite Raashi Khanna in the film 'The Sabarmati Report'. In the film, Raashi plays the role of a journalist on a mission to uncover the truth behind the Sabarmati Express incident. Directed by Dheeraj Sarna, the film depicts the tragic events that took place near Godhra railway station in Gujarat on February 27, 2002.
It will be released in theaters on November 15, 2024. Apart from 'The Sabarmati Report', Raashi Khanna is all set to reunite with Vikrant Massey in another film titled 'Talakhon Mein Ek', which will release soon. Apart from this, one of his Telugu films 'Telusu Kadha' is also in the pipeline.
