Top names from the Telugu film industry, including producer and Allu Arjun's father Allu Aravind, held an important meeting with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Thursday amid the controversy over the Pushpa 2 stampede case. Telangana Film Development Corporation (FDC) president and popular producer Dil Raju said the meeting with Revanth Reddy was to promote “healthy relations” between the government and the industry.
The incident comes days after Allu Arjun's dramatic arrest and subsequent bail in the Sandhya theater stampede case, in which a woman was killed and her son was injured. In recent times, Revanth Reddy has taken a dig at celebrities and the government has also announced that it will not allow for benefit shows and will increase ticket rates.
Celebrities who attended the meeting included producers Allu Aravind, Suresh Daggubati, Sunil Narang, Supriya, Naga Vamshi and Pushpa 2 producers Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar.
Actors Venkatesh Daggubati, Nithiin, Varun Tej, Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Kiran Abbavaram and Shiva Balaji also participated. Directors Trivikram Srinivas, Harish Shankar, Anil Ravipudi and Bobby were also present.
Following the death of 35yearold Revathi during the screening of Pushpa 2, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy criticized the Telugu film industry for lining up at Allu Arjun's house after his release from jail. He hit out at celebrities for not thinking about Revathi and her critically ill son Mr. Tej, who is in the hospital.
After the incident, Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy said that the government could consider increasing ticket prices only for films that show a stance on history, freedom struggle and antidrugs. If implemented, it will have a huge impact on Sankranti releases – Ram Charan's Game Changer, Nandamuri Balakrishna's Daku Maharaj and Venkatesh's Sankranti Vasthanam. Manufacturers rely on these price increases to turn a profit on the opening weekend.

In this sequence, Rs 2 crore will be given to 9 year old Shri Tej who was injured outside Sandhya Theatre. Out of this, one crore rupees will be given by Allu Arjun.
