KanganaJaved dispute will be resolved through mutual talks, court gives permission


Mumbai . The dispute between Javed Akhtar and Kangana Ranaut may be resolved. The court has given permission for mediation. The meeting between the two sides regarding this will be held on 21 January 2025. With the hope that the matter will be resolved successfully through mediation.

MPs Kangana Ranaut and Javed Akhtar had appealed to the court for mediation, which was accepted by the court.

Lyricist Javed Akhtar had filed a defamation case against actress Kangana Ranaut over false allegations against him. Almost 4 years have passed since the dispute started between the two artists.

Hearing on Javed Akhtar's complaint was going on in Andheri Magistrate Court. At the same time, after Kangana Ranaut became the MP of Mandi, the case was transferred to the Special Court of MPs, Bandra. The hearing regarding the case had not even started when the lawyers of Javed and Kangana told that talks of a settlement are going on between the two.

After this the case was presented before the Special Magistrate on 9 December. However, things could not be resolved here also. The lawyer asked for mediation by a judge, which the magistrate accepted.

A meeting regarding this will be held between both the parties and the Magistrate will hold the hearing on the same day (January 21, 2025).

Actually, Javed Akhtar had filed a defamation case against Ranaut in a Mumbai court. He had alleged that during a TV interview in 2020, Kangana had made false and derogatory statements about him. Akhtar had registered a case under sections 499 and 500 of the Indian Judicial Code.

Mumbai Police had summoned Kangana regarding the case. But the actress could not appear. After which the police issued a bailable warrant. The actress approached the Bombay High Court to quash the case. However, the court rejected his petition.
