Mumbai . Veteran Hindi film actress and BJP MP from Mathura Lok Sabha seat Hema Malini recently visited the ISKCON temple located in Kharghar area of Navi Mumbai.
On Thursday, Hema Malini shared some of her pictures from the ISKCON temple complex on social media platform Instagram. He also wrote a long note and told that the temple will be inaugurated on January 15, 2025.
He wrote, “Something beautiful is about to happen in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. It is very close to my heart. ISKCON has built a very beautiful temple, where the main deity is Radha Madanmohan.”
She further added, “All this is the result of the tireless work of Surdas Prabhu ji and so many devotees and artisans who have worked hard for 10 years to make this temple a reality. I went to pay obeisance at Kharghar on New Year's Day and I feel very satisfied. The temple will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 15, 2025.”
Earlier, Hema Malini had participated in a rally to spread awareness about the cleanliness campaign. On Monday, the actress shared several pictures of the rally on her Instagram.
“On Parikrama Marg in Vrindavan, 200 children participated in the rally organized by Mayor Vinod Aggarwal and Municipal Commissioner Shashank Choudhary to create public awareness about the importance of cleanliness drive,” he wrote in the caption.
Hema Malini has won the election from Mathura Lok Sabha seat for the third consecutive time. Earlier, the actress had easily won the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
The actress studied Kuchipudi with Vempati Chinna Satyam and Mohiniyattam with Kalamandalam guru Gopalakrishnan. He has performed many dance roles including Narasimha and Ram in Tulsidas' Ramcharitmanas.
The veteran actress was awarded the Padma Shri in 2000, the fourth highest civilian honor given by the Government of India.
