Mumbai . Actress Smita Sable, who plays the role of Dhaniya in the television show 'Bheema', said that she had initially auditioned for a negative character in the show.
Her character Dhaniya in the show is that of a caring mother who gives priority to the wellbeing of her family. However, the role for which the actress auditioned was completely different from the character she is currently playing.
Smita said, “It's quite an interesting story. I had auditioned for the show Bheema, but it was not for the role of Dhaniya. I had auditioned for a negative role, but I was selected for the role of Dhaniya. It was a complete surprise. It is very challenging to play the role of Dhaniya, but I am happy to play such an important role in my career.
Talking about her character, the actress said that Dhaniya's support for her daughter Bheema's education despite social challenges is a testament to her nurturing spirit. Despite facing difficulties, Dhaniya's courage and determination never diminished.
Before joining the acting world, the actress worked in the corporate sector till 2019. Although she wanted to act from the beginning.
She further added, “In my free time, I used to make videos and do monologues on social media. I was also interested in modeling and wanted to enter the industry through that route. However, the pandemic in 2020 changed my career towards acting.
Talking about her preparation for the show, she said, “Being a Maharashtrian, working on a show set in Uttar Pradesh required me to master the local dialect and accent so that I could be authentic and true to my character. I can become My previous experience helped me a lot. The support of my team and costars really helped me in this.”
“He guided me in using the right expressions to convey the emotions, thus making my portrayal of Dhaniya more real,” she said.
