Mumbai . Actorsinger Diljit Dosanjh has shared the first look of his upcoming film 'Punjab '95'. The actor is seen injured in the poster. The film will be released on the big screen with 120 cuts.
The actor, who is active on social media, keeps sharing his latest posts with fans. Be it a post related to his music concert 'Dil Luminati', a personal post or his upcoming film songs. Diljit shared several pictures from 'Punjab 95' on Instagram and showed fans his first look from the film.
Sharing pictures from the sets of the film based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, Dosanjh wrote in the caption, “I challenge the darkness. Punjab 95.”
In the first of the three pictures shared, injured Diljit Dosanjh was seen sitting on the kutcha floor of a small room, wearing a simple kurta and turban. In the second photo, his face appeared bloodied and injured. In the third picture, Dosanjh was seen posing with two children.
Jaswant Singh Khalra was the director of a bank in Amritsar, Punjab. After the insurgency in Punjab, he had revealed in a research the killing and cremation of thousands of young Sikhs by the Punjab Police. According to the information, he was kidnapped after this. His death remains a mystery till today.
The Central Board of Film Certification had directed the makers of 'Punjab 95' to make 120 cuts in the film.
The film based on the life of Jaswant Singh Khalra is produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Abhishek Chaubey and Honey Trehan. The director of the film is Honey Trehan. Diljit Dosanjh is in the lead role in the film, who will be seen in the role of Jaswant Singh Khalra. The release date of the film has not been revealed yet.
