Anil Kapoor is on his winning ways! After storming the box office with two blockbusters simultaneously – 'Animal' and 'Fighter', winning the Dadasaheb Phalke Award and being featured in the Time100AI list, Anil Kapoor has made India proud once again! This time, the actor's muchloved series 'The Night Manager' has received global recognition. The Anil Kapoorstarrer, which is an Indian adaptation of a series of the same name, has received a nomination under the Best Drama Series category at the International Emmy Awards 2024.
The show, which also stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Sobhita Dhulipala, was the only show from India in the 14 categories in the nominations announced on Thursday. Talking about the nominations, Kapoor said, “It has just been brought to my attention that our Indian adaptation of 'The Night Manager' has been nominated for the International Emmy Awards. I remember when the offer came, I was confused. It offered me an opportunity to play such a complex character, but on the other hand, also a huge responsibility to try and add freshness and authenticity to the role that was played so captivatingly by Hugh Laurie.
The megastar further added, “This recognition from the Emmys, in addition to the tremendous love we have received from fans across the world, is a worthy reminder that hard work always pays off. I am more excited and dedicated than ever to give my best.”
The Emmy nod for 'The Night Manager' is yet another celebration of Kapoor's versatility and global appeal. On the work front, cinema icon Anil Kapoor is currently gearing up to shoot for his next project with Suresh Triveni titled 'Subedar'.
