Mumbai,. Actor Aamir Khan recently told that he got the opportunity to listen to the story of 'Vanvas' narrated by director Anil Sharma.
He told that during his meeting with Sharma a few months ago, he was very impressed by the story and characters of the film. Nana Patekar recorded a special podcast with Aamir.
Zee Studios took to Instagram to share the video from the podcast and captioned it, “In a candid conversation with Aamir Khan, Nana Patekar discusses love, tears, sacrifice, happiness, beautifully captured by Vanvas Exile in cinemas near you!”
In the video, Aamir Khan told that when they met a few months ago, Anil Sharma had also told him the story of the film. He liked the story very much. The way the character has been introduced and the way it has been expressed is really great.
The two were spotted together in Juhu, Mumbai on December 21, 2024, while they were filming for a podcast. This special episode discussed the themes of “Vanvas”, presenting timeless concepts such as family, respect, and selfacceptance from a modern perspective.
Talking about the film, the actor had earlier said that “Vanvas is not just a story, it is a reflection of the emotions that we often keep within ourselves. Playing this character was about family, respect and belonging. It was like peeling back the layers of my own understanding. It's a film that speaks to the soul and I'm sure the audience will find a part of their journey in it.”
Director Anil Sharma told , “This is a story in which we have tried to show that a father is supreme. This is a film that everyone will like. Every father will watch this film and Then he will ask his sons to watch it. Exile is also an emotional journey, “where I say, 'Apne hi dete hain apno ko vanvas'. I'm trying to tell the biggest truth of the world because it's so relevant in today's times.”
The film also stars Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur. Produced, directed and written by Anil Sharma, “Vanvas” was released on 20 December.
