The condition of the boy who was injured during the midnight screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad is critical and has been declared brain dead due to inability to breathe. On Tuesday, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner CV Anand and Telangana Government's Health Secretary Dr Christina IAS visited KIMS Hospital on behalf of the Telangana government to seek information about the 9yearold boy Mr Teja. According to the post shared by Hyderabad City Police on X (formerly known as Twitter), doctors have informed them that the boy is being treated on ventilator support and the treatment is likely to last for a long time.
The post also states that doctors will soon issue a medical bulletin on Mr. Teja's health condition. Health Secretary Dr. Christina said that we are regularly monitoring the health condition of Mr. Teja and are hopeful of his speedy recovery.
Pushpa 2 star Allu Arjun was arrested after the stampede incident and was released on bail by the Telangana High Court. Later, the actor shared a post on his Instagram handle showing his concern about the boy, where he also revealed that he has been advised not to visit him in the hospital due to the ongoing legal proceedings.
What happened during the screening?
On 4 December, a horrifying incident occurred at the midnight premiere at Sandhya Theatre, Hyderabad. After Allu Arjun reached the location, he was surrounded by a crowd of fans and within seconds the situation went out of control and a stampedelike situation occurred. In this incident, a woman named Revathi lost her life and many people were injured.
Meanwhile, Pushpa 2 is unbeaten at the box office and has already earned over Rs 1,400 crore globally. Its net collection in India is also going to cross the Rs 1,000 crore mark soon.
