Railways has given an update regarding the Vande Bharat Express train running between Lucknow and Dehradun. As an experiment, Railways has made the stoppage of Lucknow-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express at Najibabad on this route. However, these changes will come into effect from December 10, 2024. This initiative of Indian Railways will make travel more convenient for passengers traveling between Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. This train has been started this year.
545 kilometer journey in 8 hours 20 minutes
Vande Bharat Express runs between Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) and Dehradun (Uttarakhand), covering the distance of 545 km in approximately 8 hours 20 mins. This makes it the fastest train on this route, surpassing the Kumbh Express, which takes approximately 10 hours 40 minutes for the same journey. Earlier, the Lucknow-Dehradun-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express had only three stops – Bareilly, Moradabad and Haridwar Junction. Now, passengers will also have the option to board or deboard at Najibabad.

According to the news, the timing of Lucknow-Dehradun-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express has been revised. For train number 22545 (Lucknow to Dehradun), the train will now depart from Lucknow at 05:15 and reach Dehradun at 13:40, stopping at Najibabad for 2 minutes at 11:08. On the return journey, Train No. 22546 (Dehradun to Lucknow) will depart from Dehradun at 14:25 hrs and reach Lucknow at 22:40 hrs, stopping at Najibabad for 2 minutes at 16:17 hrs. The train has eight coaches, with two types of seats: AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car. It runs daily, except Monday.
