Along with declaring the financial results for the second quarter of the financial year 2024-25, the company also announced a dividend of Rs 24 on each share for its shareholders. Company fixed record date and payment date
Colgate-Palmolive (India) said in an exchange filing on October 24 that the company's board of directors has declared a dividend of Rs 24 per share of face value of Re 1 for shareholders. The company has fixed the record date for this dividend of Rs 24 on Monday, November 4. The company told the stock market exchanges that the dividend money will be transferred to the bank accounts of shareholders on or after November 21.
Increase in net profit and income in the second quarter
Releasing its financial results on Thursday, the company said that its net profit in the second quarter increased by 16.2 percent to Rs 395 crore, which was Rs 340 crore in the second quarter of the last financial year. Apart from this, the company's income also increased by 10.1 percent to Rs 1619 crore, which was Rs 1471 crore in the second quarter last year. However, there has been a decline in the company's margins during this period. In the second quarter of the current financial year, the company's margin fell by 205 basis points to 30.7 percent from 32.8 percent last year.
Shares are trading with a big fall on Friday
Till the time of writing on Friday, the company's shares were trading at Rs 3129.05, down by Rs 86.65 (2.69%) on BSE. According to data received from BSE, the current market cap of Colgate-Palmolive is Rs 84,777.92 crore.
