In this series, the leading tobacco company is going to give a huge dividend of 1750 percent to its shareholders. Godfrey Phillips India had said in an exchange filing on November 19 that the company's board of directors has declared a dividend of Rs 35 per share of face value of Rs 2 for shareholders. The company told the stock market exchanges that this will be an interim dividend to be given for the financial year 2024-25.
Company fixed record date for dividend
Godfrey Phillips said that the record date for this dividend to be given to investors has been fixed on Friday, November 29. Godfrey Phillips shares will trade ex-dividend on November 29. Investors will not get the benefit of dividend on shares purchased on November 29. However, investors will be paid a dividend of Rs 35 per share on shares purchased till November 28. The dividend will be paid to eligible shareholders by December 26.
Shares of the company closed with good gains on Wednesday
On Wednesday, the company's shares closed at Rs 5821.05 with a gain of Rs 55.35 (0.96%). Let us tell you that the shares of the company are trading much below their 52 week high. Godfrey Phillips shares have 52 week high of Rs 8480.00 and 52 week low of Rs 2004.95. This shows that the company's shares have seen tremendous fluctuations within a year.
