The domestic stock market, which started in the green for two consecutive days, started trading in the red on Wednesday. At 9.46 am, the benchmark Sensex of Bombay Stock Exchange was trading at the level of 79,905.55 with a fall of 98.91 points. Similarly, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty was also seen trading at the level of 24,167.25 points with a fall of 27.25 points.
Who benefits the most and who loses
M&M, Coal India, NTPC, BPCL and Wipro were the major gainers on the Nifty in early trading, while Adani Ports, Bharti Airtel, UltraTech Cement, Cipla and Tata Steel were among the losers. According to Moneycontrol, among sectors, capital goods, power rose by 0.5-1 per cent, while selling was seen in FMCG, metals, pharma, PSU banks, oil and gas. The BSE Midcap index is down 0.3 per cent, while the Smallcap index is trading flat.
