Share Market Opening 17th October, 2024: Indian stock markets opened with gains on Thursday. Today BSE Sensex opened with a gain of 256.71 points at 81,758.07 points and Nifty 50 opened with a gain of 56.10 points at 25,027.40 points. Let us tell you that on Wednesday, trading in the Indian stock market started with a loss and also closed with a loss. On Wednesday, BSE Sensex opened at 81,646.60 points with a fall of 173.52 points and closed at 81,501.36, falling 319 points. Similarly, Nifty 50 also opened yesterday with a fall of 48.80 points at 25,008.55 points and finally closed at the level of 24,971.30 with a fall of 86.05 points.
Shares of 26 Sensex companies opened in the green.
On Thursday, shares of 26 out of 30 BSE companies opened in the green, while shares of only the remaining 4 companies opened in the red. On the other hand, shares of 27 out of 50 companies of Nifty 50 opened in the green mark and shares of 23 companies opened in the red mark.
Highest rise in Reliance Industries
Today, shares of Reliance Industries among the Sensex companies opened with the highest rise of 1.13 percent. Apart from this, Sun Pharma 0.95 percent, Bajaj Finserv 0.93 percent, Tata Motors 0.91 percent, Maruti Suzuki 0.90 percent, Nestle India 0.82 percent, Larsen & Toubro 0.82 percent, JSW Steel 0.81 percent, HCL Tech 0.80 percent, IndusInd Bank 0.67 percent.
