Share Market Closing 20th Sep, 2024: After the spectacular rise in the US markets, the Indian stock market also witnessed a tremendous rise today. On the last day of the week i.e. Friday, the BSE Sensex closed at a new all-time high of 84,544.31 points with a gain of 1359.51 points. Similarly, the NSE Nifty also closed at a new all-time high of 25,790.95 points with a gain of 375.15 points. Amidst this rapid rise, the BSE Sensex touched its new all-time high once again today by reaching 84,694.46 points and the Nifty 50 reached 25,849.25 points.

Most of the Sensex and Nifty stocks saw a rise

On Friday, out of 30 Sensex companies, 26 shares closed in the green while 4 companies closed in the red. Similarly, out of 50 Nifty 50 companies, 44 shares closed in the green while 6 companies closed in the red.

These stocks saw rocket-like growth

Among the 30 companies of Sensex, the shares of Mahindra & Mahindra registered the highest rise of 5.37 percent today. Apart from this, ICICI Bank rose 4.47 percent, JSW Steel 3.85 percent, Larsen & Toubro 2.95 percent, Bharti Airtel 2.65 percent, Nestle India 2.51 percent, Adani Ports 2.49 percent, Hindustan Unilever shares rose 2.09 percent.

These stocks also benefited the investors

Apart from these, shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank, Tech Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Steel, HDFC Bank, Power Grid, HCL Tech, Bajaj Finserv, UltraTech Cement, ITC, Reliance Industries, Sun Pharma, Infosys, Tata Motors, Axis Bank, NTPC closed in the green. While shares of Bajaj Finance, TCS, IndusInd Bank and State Bank of India closed in loss. SBI shares closed with the maximum decline of 1.07 percent.
