People of these 3 states will not be able to get benefits
In an important cabinet meeting held on September 11, 2024, it was announced to cover all people above 70 years of age under AB-PMJAY. Let us tell you that the benefit of this scheme will not be available in Delhi, Odisha and West Bengal because the governments here have not started this scheme yet. How to apply for Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana
To get benefits under Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, you must first register on the PMJAY portal or Ayushman App. If a person is already covered under this scheme, he will have to apply again and complete eKYC through his Aadhaar card for the new card. By doing this, the elderly will get a separate additional coverage of Rs 5 lakh. Apart from this, people who are covered under ESIC and health insurance of private companies can also apply for this scheme.
You can get free treatment anywhere in 29,648 hospitals
A total of 29,648 hospitals are associated with the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana as of September 1, 2024, of which 12,696 are private hospitals, where a person covered under PMJAY can get cashless treatment.
