There is a latest update for Mumbaikars. If you travel between Jogeshwari and Goregaon stations, you will face a lot of trouble in traveling by train during November 16-17. Along with this, there will be considerable disruption in mail/express train services. Western Railway has given this information. Actually, Western Railway has announced a 12-hour mega block on the railway track between Jogeshwari and Goregaon stations of Mumbai. This mega block is being done to carry out the necessary work for the bridge construction. In such a situation, you may have to use other means to travel on this route.
How long is the Mega Block?
According to the news, a 12-hour block will be taken on both Up and Down slow lines as well as Up and Down Harbor lines for the re-girdering work of Bridge No. 46 between Jogeshwari and Goregaon. This block will be in effect from 11:30 pm on November 16 to 11:30 am on November 17, due to which local and mail/express train services will be affected. In such a situation, it would be wise to plan your move out of the house keeping this in mind.
Trains will operate like this
According to Western Railway, services on Up and Down slow lines will be run on Up and Down fast lines between Andheri and Goregaon/Borivali. Trains will not stop at Ram Mandir due to non-availability of platform. Also, during the block period, all Harbor Line services run by Central Railway will run only up to Andheri and will reverse. Some slow services of Churchgate-Goregaon/Borivali will be short terminated and reversed from Andheri. Up and Down Mail-Express trains will run late by 10-20 minutes during the block.
