Muhurat Trading 2024: It was a great start to the new season for the Indian stock market and the market closed in the green with good gains. Amidst today's growth, investors made bumper earnings as shares of most companies closed in the green. However, the market was not successful in maintaining the huge initial gains during trading in the Muhurat trading session. Sensex closed at 79,724.12 points with a gain of 335.06 points as against the initial gain of 634.69 points, while on the other hand Nifty closed at 24,299.55 points with a gain of 94.20 points as against the initial gain of 97.40 points.

Sensex and Nifty lost initial gains after market opening

Today the Sensex opened at 80,023.75 points, which was its intraday high, as it witnessed a continuous decline after the start of trading. Similarly, Nifty 50 opened today at 24,302.75 points and reached an intraday high of 24,368.25 points, but after this Nifty also started a downward trend and closed at 24,299.55 points.

Shares of 26 out of 30 Sensex companies closed in the green.

At the close of the Muhurat trading session, shares of 26 out of 30 Sensex companies closed in the green mark with gains and shares of 4 companies closed in the red mark with a decline. Similarly, in Nifty 50, shares of 42 out of 50 companies closed in the green mark with gains and shares of 8 companies closed in the red mark with a decline.

Mahindra & Mahindra shares closed with a bumper rise

In Muhurat trading, shares of Mahindra & Mahindra closed the highest for Sensex with a gain of 3.54 percent. Apart from this, Adani Ports closed with a gain of 1.29 percent, Tata Motors 1.13 percent, NTPC 0.98 percent, Axis Bank 0.92 percent, Titan 0.88 percent, Nestle India 0.87 percent, Tata Steel 0.77 percent, Kotak Mahindra Bank 0.66 percent, IndusInd Bank 0.64 percent. Happened.

On the other hand, shares of HCL Tech closed down by 0.57 percent, Tech Mahindra by 0.33 percent, Asian Paints by 0.04 percent and ICICI Bank also closed down by 0.04 percent.
