Country The month of October was great for all the automobile companies. Barring a few companies, almost all the companies sold vehicles heavily in October. In the month of October, which was full of festivals, Maruti Suzuki, Toyota Kirloskar, Hyundai Motor India and Ola Electric succeeded in wooing customers through bumper offers. Maruti Suzuki India sold a total of 2,06,434 vehicles in October, which is the highest in any single month so far. Let us tell you that Maruti Suzuki India had sold a total of 1,99,217 vehicles in October last year.
41 percent increase in Toyota sales
Toyota Kirloskar also took full advantage of the festive season and sold a total of 30,845 vehicles in October, which is 41 percent more than last year. The company had sold a total of 21,879 vehicles in October last year. Toyota Kirloskar said in a statement that domestic sales in October stood at 28,138 units while 2707 units were exported. “This increase is driven by strong demand for our SUVs and MPVs,” said Sabri Manohar, vice president of the company.
Hyundai sales increase by 2 percent
Hyundai Motor India's total sales in October increased by 2 percent to 70,078 units as against 68,728 units in the same month last year. The company's domestic sales increased marginally to 55,568 units in October, compared to 55,128 units in the same month last year. The company said that their exports increased by 6.7 percent to 14,510 units in October, which was 13,600 units in the same month last year.
Ola sold more than 50,000 scooters
Registration of Ola Electric scooters also reached 41,605 units in October with a huge increase of 74 percent on an annual basis. Ola Electric said in a statement that the company has sold more than 50,000 vehicles in October 2024. The registration numbers are as per the scooter data. An Ola Electric spokesperson said, “The festive season has been really strong for us with strong growth in consumer demand across our segments and the strength of our sales network across India.”
