Share Market Closing 10th October, 2024: The series of ups and downs continues in the Indian stock market. Tremendous volatility was seen in the stock market on Thursday also. However, in the end the market closed in the green with a slight gain. Today BSE Sensex closed at 81,611.41 points with a gain of 144.31 points. On the other hand, NSE Nifty 50 also closed at 24,998.45 points with a gain of 16.50 points. Let us tell you that on Wednesday, BSE Sensex closed with a fall of 167.71 points at 81,467.10 points and Nifty closed with a fall of 31.20 points at 24,981.95 points.
Sensex came from 82,002 to 81,611 points
Let us tell you that today at one time Sensex had reached the level of 82,002.84 points and Nifty had reached the level of 25,134.05 points. But after this, there were several intermittent ups and downs in the market and in the end the market closed with a very slight gain. On Thursday, shares of 16 out of 30 Sensex companies closed in the green mark and shares of 14 companies closed in the red mark. Similarly, shares of 23 out of 50 companies of Nifty 50 closed in the green mark and shares of 27 companies closed in the red mark.
Stormy rise in shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank
Today, Kotak Mahindra Bank shares closed with the highest gain of 4.16 percent for Sensex. Apart from this, JSW Steel closed with a rise of 1.82 percent, HDFC Bank 1.75 percent, IndusInd Bank 1.43 percent, Power Grid 1.39 percent, Maruti Suzuki 1.34 percent, Axis Bank 1.20 percent, NTPC 1.09 percent. Shares of UltraTech Cement, Adani Ports Bajaj Finserv, Tata Steel, Bajaj Finance, ITC and HCL Tech also closed in the green.
Tech Mahindra suffered a big loss
Tech Mahindra shares recorded the biggest decline of 2.82 percent today. Apart from this, shares of Sun Pharma closed with loss of 1.90 percent, Infosys 1.78 percent, Tata Motors 1.10 percent, Titan 1.00 percent, Larsen & Toubro 0.74 percent, TCS 0.56 percent. Shares of Hindustan Unilever, Asian Paints, Reliance Industries, Nestle India, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel and State Bank also remained in the red.
