Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday said that investment proposals worth more than Rs 31 thousand crore have been received during the fifth edition of the Regional Industry Conference (RIC), which will create more than 28 thousand employment opportunities in the state. RIC was organized on Wednesday in Rewa in Vindhya region of the state. Speaking on the occasion, Yadav said, “During the fifth edition of RIC held in Rewa, we have received investment proposals worth more than Rs 31 thousand crore, which will create more than 28 thousand employment opportunities in the state.” The RIC programme, started on the instructions of the Chief Minister, is now gaining momentum and its fifth edition was held at Krishna Raj Kapoor Auditorium in Rewa, an official said.
Investment proposals came from these companies
The official said that during the RIC, Shree Siddharth Infratech (Greenco) has invested Rs 12,800 crore in renewable energy sector in Panna and Rewa districts, Ritwik Projects Pvt Ltd has invested Rs 4,000 crore in renewable energy sector in Panna, Patanjali Ayurveda has invested Rs 4,000 crore in renewable energy sector in various areas of the state. Rs 1,000 crore in wellness and food processing sector, UltraTech Cement invests Rs 3,000 crore to set up cement unit in Maihar, Mahan Energine Limited (Adani Group) invests Rs 2,528 crore in coal block in Singrauli district, Nisarg Ispat invests Rs 2,528 crore in rare earth mineral in Sidhi district. It is proposed to invest Rs 1,000 crore in clay and graphite blocks.
Letter of Intent for allotment of 146 acres of land
Punit Dalmia of Dalmia Group announced setting up a 40 lakh tonne capacity cement and clinker unit in Rewa with an investment of Rs 3,000 crore, which will be the world's first 100 per cent renewable energy based plant, while Rama Group's Naresh Goyal announced setting up a furniture plant in Satna district with an investment of Rs 500 crore. On this occasion, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone and inaugurated 21 units worth Rs 2,680 crore in the state. The Chief Minister said that these units will provide employment opportunities to 1,830 people. He also distributed letters of intent for allotment of 146 acres of land to 85 industrial units in the state, which will bring investment of about Rs 918 crore and create 3,350 employment opportunities.
