EPFO has extended the last date for adding Universal Account Number (UAN) in the ELI scheme. EPFO has extended this deadline to 15 December 2024. Earlier this deadline was 30 November 2024. EPFO has given this information on social media platform X. Apart from this, the government has also extended the last date for linking bank account with Aadhaar.
The plan came in the budget of 2024-25
In the budget for the financial year 2024-25, three schemes A, B and C were announced for employment related incentive scheme. In this, with an expenditure of Rs 2 lakh crore, a target has been set to create employment, skills and other opportunities for 4.1 crore youth in 5 years. The target of ELI scheme is to create more than 2 crore jobs in 2 years. In this, Scheme A will focus on people getting employment for the first time and the EPF scheme. Plan B will focus on creating jobs in manufacturing and Plan C will focus on supporting employers.
Will be able to take advantage of many services
By activating UAN, employees will be able to access many services of EPFO. With this they will be able to manage their PF accounts well. You can view and download the PF passbook. Additionally, employees can make partial withdrawals or submit claims for advances or transfers.
