The domestic stock market opened flat on Wednesday. Benchmark equity indices opened with a negative trend in the trading session. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty 50 opened with a loss of 40.95 points at 25,899.45 in early trade, while the BSE Sensex opened with a loss of 77.59 points at 84,836.45. Overall, the broader indices opened with a mixed trend during early trade. Similarly, the Bank Nifty index opened with a loss of 174.60 points at 53,794. After touching record highs in the last four sessions, the Sensex and Nifty witnessed flat trading on Wednesday.

Power Grid Corp, Hindalco, JSW Steel, Titan Company and UltraTech Cement were the top gainers on the NSE Nifty 50 index at early trade on Wednesday, while Bajaj Auto, LTI Mindtree, Nestle India, Britannia Industries and Apollo Hospitals were among the top losers.

Crude Oil On Wednesday morning WTI crude prices are trading 0.43% lower at $71.25 while Brent crude prices are trading 0.29% lower at $74.95. Hindustan Copper, Indian Energy Exchange, Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail, Granules India and Vodafone Idea remain on the F&O ban list on September 25.

Asian markets trend

Asia-Pacific markets were roughly steady on Wednesday morning, but Hong Kong's Hang Seng index futures indicated a possible 4 percent rise at the start of trading, with HSI futures at 19,763 compared to the previous close of 19,000. In Japan, the Nikkei 225 fell marginally, while the broader Topix rose 0.3 percent. Similarly, South Korea's Kospi rose 0.4 percent, and the small-cap Kosdaq added 0.43 percent.
