Sources said on Tuesday that the instrument landing system was tested at the airport from October 10 to 14 by the aircraft Beech King Air 360 ER. CAT-1 and CAT-3 equipment have been installed at the airport, which provide information about the altitude and visibility of the aircraft in fog. According to sources, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has also inspected the equipment.
All licenses will be taken 90 days in advance
The application for the license required for the flight and runway testing will start from November 15. Preparations have been started in this regard. He said that from November 15 to December 15, empty aircraft of various airlines will be landed on the runway for testing throughout the month. On November 30, the runway will be tested by landing three types of aircraft. Whereas for commercial flights, all licenses will be taken 90 days in advance.
Air India also has big preparations
On the other hand, Air India has also made a big announcement. Let us tell you that Air India said on Tuesday that this unit, which came into existence after the merger of Vistara with it, will operate more than 5,600 flights a week connecting more than 90 destinations. This initiative will benefit lakhs of air passengers across the country. With the merger, Singapore Airlines' stake in the expanded Air India will increase to 25.1 percent. According to a statement, “Air India Group has completed the operational integration and legal merger between Air India and Vistara, creating a larger and larger full-service airline. “Earlier, on October 1, 2024, the group’s low-cost airline – Air India Express and AIX Connect (formerly Air Asia India) were merged.” Vistara was a joint venture between the Tata Group and Singapore Airlines.
