BMW India, the Indian unit of German luxury car maker BMW, is going to increase the prices of all its models by three percent from January 2025. This means that now you will have to pay more money to buy a BMW car in the new year. The company said that the new rates will be effective from January 1, 2025. According to PTI news, the company's range of cars made in India includes 2-Series Gran Coupe, 3-Series Long Wheelbase, 5-Series Long Wheelbase, 7-Series Long Wheelbase, X1, X3, X5, X7 and M340i. .

The company sells these models

According to the news, BMW also sells models like i4, i5, i7, i7 M70, iX1, BMW iX, Z4 M40i, M2 Coupe as completely built units (CBU). Last week, Mercedes-Benz had announced to increase prices of all its models in India by up to three per cent from January 1, 2025, citing increase in input costs, inflationary pressures and higher operating expenses. Prices of Mercedes-Benz cars in India will increase from Rs 2 lakh for the GLC to Rs 9 lakh for the top Mercedes-Maybach S 680 luxury limousine.

Increase in company sales

Sales of BMW and Mini brands in India stood at 10,556 units from January to September this year, up 10 percent year-on-year. The company had sold 9,580 BMW and Mini vehicles in the first nine months of 2023 last year. The group has also sold 5,638 units of the Motorrad brand during this period.



BMW Group said that out of 10,556 units sold in nine months this year, 10,056 units were of the BMW brand while the remaining 500 units were of the Mini brand. The share of the luxury car segment in the total passenger vehicle market in the country is still quite low. The luxury car market in India is still very small. Its share in the total passenger vehicle market of the country is less than two percent.
