There is a plan to establish an IT center like Bengaluru

Govindram Mittal, regional chairperson of United Council of Rajasthan Industries, said the educational system and environment of Kota is unmatched and will attract students in the next session, which will compensate for the decline. He said industrialists are looking for alternative opportunities and they are planning to set up information technology (IT) centers in the city on the lines of Bengaluru. In the same year, the Karnataka government had approved a bill to reserve 50 percent management posts and 75 percent non-management posts in the private sector for locals, which was criticized by the entire industry.

Bad condition of hostel owners

Mittal said that the industrialists here have contacted Bengaluru based companies to set up their base in Kota and after the approval of these companies, on the instructions of Lok Sabha Speaker and Kota-Bundi MP Om Birla, land will be identified for the IT sector. Has been taken. Kota Hostel Association President Naveen Mittal said that the coaching center and hostel industry here is definitely in trouble. Some owners who have taken loans to build several hostels are finding it difficult to repay the installments. He said that this crisis has badly affected hostel owners. Most of the city's 4,500 hostels are 40 to 50 percent vacant. Naveen stressed that according to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), Kota lags behind 50 cities in terms of suicide rate, yet the city is portrayed negatively. Manik Sahni, a hostel manager at Coral Park, said room rents have dropped from Rs 15,000 to Rs 9,000 and many hostels are lying vacant.
