According to the news, the Biden administration approved the sale of major defense equipment to India, just weeks before the completion of its four-year term. President-elect Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on January 20, 2025. The notification states that India has appealed to study, design, build and support 30 multifunctional information distribution system-joint tactical radio system facilities, support and test equipment, munitions.
They will have to travel to India
The prime contractor for this sale is Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems. Implementation of the sale will require the travel of 20 U.S. Government or 25 contractor representatives to India on a temporary basis for program technical assistance and management oversight. This proposed sale will support US foreign policy and national security objectives, help strengthen the US-India strategic relationship and improve the security of a major defense partner.
