11 countries, 3500 exhibitions… International trade fair starting from today – Top News Bulletin


India International Trade Fair (IITF) is starting from Thursday i.e. today at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. According to the official statement, more than 3,500 exhibitors from India and abroad are expected to participate in this 14-day fair. The 43rd edition of IITF is expected to attract around one lakh visitors per day. India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) under the Ministry of Commerce said that the fair is a major platform to showcase the strength of Indian industry and quality products. The theme of the fair is 'Developed India @2047'.

According to the statement, the route map and other 'navigation' features for the IITF are available on the Bharat Mandapam mobile app, including hall location, detailed stall information and directions from the start to the end point within the venue. The timing of the fair is from 10 am to 7.30 pm. Entrances are 3 and 5 (on Bhairon Road) and 6 and 10 (on Mathura Road). This fair will be organized in the newly constructed hall in the Bharat Mandapam complex spread over an area of ​​1,07,000 square meters.

Bihar and Uttar Pradesh partner states

Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are participating as partner states. While Jharkhand will participate as the main 'focus' state. “In addition, 33 States/Union Territories and 49 Central Ministries, Commodity Boards, Public Sector Undertakings, Public Sector Banks and Government Departments are participating in the fair,” it said. It will also include representation from reputed companies like Titan, Jindal Steel & Power, JSW Steel, Relaxo, Hawkins and Woodland.

11 countries taking part

11 countries – China, Egypt, Iran, South Korea, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, Tunisia, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan and United Arab Emirates (UAE) are also participating in this fair. The business days of IITF-2024 will be from 14-18 November. Entry for general visitors will be from November 19 to 27, 2024. Entry tickets are available from selected 55 Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) stations (except Supreme Court Metro station). Tickets can also be purchased from Bharat Mandapam mobile app, DMRC app Momentum 2.0 Delhi Sarathi, official ITPO website. According to the statement, senior citizens and persons with disabilities having valid age certificate will get free entry.
