Philips has just presented its 2025 OLED televisions range, and one of its two main models (known as OLED+ Range) is the PHILIPS OLED+ 910. This is a high -end OLED TV (used by the OLED Meta 3.0 panel of new generation of new generation of the LG screen) with a powerful Bowers & Wilkins speakers incorporated into the bottom.
The idea is that it offers an easy one unit option for people who want premium sound and images, but do not want to deal with additional sound bars or a real -house film boxes. Take this out of the box, ride on the wall; It looks good and fills the room with sound. Easy.
Of course, this promise really has to fulfill, but I had a demonstration with the music and cinema audio in the Philips launch event, and seems extremely promising.
The speaker configuration is a 3.1 system, but there are 10 speakers in total to give real depth and power. At the front of the TV at the bottom, hidden behind a Kvadrat acoustic fabric, there are left, central and right speakers matrices.
Each of these matrices consists of two pilots of average racing rank, and a tweeter, all suspended independently so that their vibrations do not interfere with each other.
On the back of the TV there is a subwoofer, but there is also a subwoofer, to wire a dedicated submarine, and it is important to know that my demonstration used a small submarine Bowers & Wilkins throughout the session.
The television comes in sizes of 55 inches, 65 inches and 77 inches, and the speakers themselves are used in all sizes, but they fit for the particular size, to ensure that the sound is aligned with the action on the screen.
You can definitely feel the width of the speaker configuration when you watch a movie, and the system impresses especially with environmental sounds. Seeing the beginning of A quiet place: day oneThe sounds of the city around the characters on screen and their dialog television.
There is no virtual envelope effect to talk about noting, more is almost the width and height in front of you, and I would be perfectly happy with that.
Speaking of height, although again he is not trying to put the sounds of Dolby Atmos above you, he revealed an impressive vertical movement when someone gets out of the street in the movie.
There was a good dynamic attack for when things suddenly become strong, although when a great explosion hit the movie, I felt that perhaps the speaker was pressing its limit there, I would have to try more to find out if it is the same in other films .
It is the same with dialogue; I expected a little more clarity than we obtained, considering that it has a strong central channel, but it could have been the mixture of this movie.
With music, there is an impressive loyalty and a good warm and rich tone. There is a great separation of different elements in the mixture, with clear average range voices that feel well textured, and the percussion of acute could shine very well around the screen.
The bass was wide, generalized and full, but remember, it came from a submarine dedicated in my demonstration, so more evidence will be needed there.
What about the image and characteristics?
As for the image, the new Meta 3.0 panel with a first -battle tandem RGB construction continues to impress, after watching it on the LG G5 TV and Panasonic Z95B in all sizes, and the 83 -inch version of the Samsung S95F, It goes to appear a lot on our list of the best OLED televisions, there is no doubt.
There is a better full screen shine, which Philips says that 350 nits should reach (but this can depend on the mode), and this seems to help with bolder colors in bright general scenes (although the panel in general has improved the color range) and the maximum bright HDR the brightness produces cleaner white tones.
I have also impressed the new technology to improve the adaptive color range of philips in demonstrations so far, which is designed to change the range of colors of what you are seeing closer to the native range of the panel, to provide rich colors , But it is designed to handle skin tones separately, keeping them as neutral and natural as possible. This will be available on all its OLED 2025 TVs, happily.
The OLED+910 has 4K 144Hz support with VRR for games, and some new features in the Philips Games bar software to customize the image based on your game.
However, there are still only two HDMI 2.1 (four) ports for games in 4K 120Hz/144Hz. In particular, Philips has updated its OLED TV budget, OLED760, to include four HDMI 2.1 ports, but the company told me that I had to choose between a larger and more powerful chip for image processing that only admits 2x HDMI ports 2.1 , or a less powerful chip with 4x HDMI ports 2.1. For OLED810, OLED+910 and OLED+950, he chose the most powerful chips to prioritize the image.
Even so, at least with the built -in B&W sound, one of those ports will not sacrifice to one of the best sound bars on HDMI EARC.
In addition to all this, it comes with four -sided ambilight technology. I am a total convert to Ambilight: it makes the image much larger than it is, what is probably ideal for a TV like this that aims to bring a solid experience in home cinema to people who do not want The scale of devices and devices. Installation that requires a more complex configuration.
We describe the version of this television of 2024, the philips OLED+909, very highly, and with the new panel, the new processing and reengineering of the sound system with its own processing better, I think this seems like a strong contender if you want One of the best televisions for sound.
We will see how it remains in the tests, trusting in its own submarine, around the time of its June launch. There are still no confirmed prices, but last year's model began at £ 1,999 for 55 inches.
