How to unlock all tonics in Destiny 2

Tonics are the special episodic mechanics for Destiny 2from the Revenant episode, the second in the post-seriesFinal form Epilogue releases. These tonics help you select certain pieces of equipment to farm (granting you additional loot of the chosen type) and can also improve your artifact perks for the season, making your build even more powerful. Unfortunately, it takes a lot of work and resources to unlock all Revenant Tonics.

How to unlock tonics in Destiny 2

Tonics branch out from each other, starting with uncommon, moving to rare, and then legendary. There are two exotic tonics you can craft, but you unlock the ability to do so by collecting the intrinsic upgrades for the Slayer's Fang shotgun in the exotic quest “Kell's Fall.”

To unlock all “Undiscovered formula”Tonics, you simply need to buy Tonics of a lower level. Elaboration five unusual toners will unlock a rare tonic on the same branch and crafting four rare tonics will unlock a legendary in the branch. The only catch here is that, for Tonics that have multiple branches you can unlock, you'll gain access to a random Tonic for every four or five you purchase.

For example, if you want to get the Gridskipper Pulse Rifle bonus from Season of the Splicer, you might want to unlock the Tonic of Gridskipper in the Tomb Gear Tonic track. To do that, you'll want to purchase five rare potions from Tonic of Tomb Gear. Doing this will randomly unlock any the tonic of the grave's armament either Vintage tomb weaponry tonic.

For the sake of example, let's say you unlocked the Tonic of Tomb Weaponry, which is not the Tonic that the Tonic of Gridskipper is derived from. You need vintage tomb weaponry tonic. To get what you really want, you'll need to craft five more Tonic of Tomb Gear potions to unlock the Tonic of Vintage Tomb Weaponry, and then craft four of them to unlock one of the three Legendary Tonics derived from it: one of which is Gridskipper.

If you're looking for a specific tonic, it's a bit of a luck draw system, where you'll play various resources (which you can learn about where to find through the in-game tonic capsule) until you get the Tonic you want. But if you're just looking to unlock all the tonics to complete Eido's field jobs, simply craft each rare tonic until you've unlocked all the rares in that category, then craft each rare until you've unlocked all the legendary tonics that come from they.

Just a fair warning that rare resources will be your bottleneck in this process, as you need one for every rare tonic you need to craft. Get ready to play many of Revenant's activities if you want to unlock all the tonics.

There are two main categories of tonics in Destiny 2: Volatile and Enriching. Volatile tonics enhance the advantages of your artifacts, while Enriching tonics gives you additional opportunities to obtain specific loot.

There is only one category of volatile tonics, and each branch of tonics focuses on two advantages.

Drinking an Enriching Tonic will grant you a specific piece of equipment or a piece of equipment from a selected loot pool.

There are six categories of Enriching Tonics: Onslaught Tonics, Tomb of Elders Tonics, Kell's Fall Tonics, World Gear Tonics, Shadestalker Tonics, and Resource Tonics.

Onslaught Tonics allows you to specify what loot you want from Onslaught, even when doing other activities.

Tomb of Elders Tonics allows you to specify what loot you want from Tomb of Elders, even when doing other activities.

Kell's Fall Tonics allow you to specify what loot you want from Kell's Fall, even when doing other activities.

World Gear Tonics allows you to specify the loot you want from the world pool.

Shadestalker Tonics allow you to farm specific armor pieces in the Shadestalker set.

Resource Tonics help you recharge important resources like Enhancement Cores or Glimmer.
