Squid Game season 2 is now available on Netflix as Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) returns to the terrifying arena once again. In the second appearance of one of Netflix's most popular series, the former winner attempts to defeat the leader and his competition from within. As shocking, brutal, and heartbreaking as season 1, you'd be forgiven for binge-watching this holiday season to find out how it all ends.
Is there a Squid Game season 2 post-credits scene?
Yes, there is a post-credits scene in the final episode of season 2. After the first credits screen appears in episode 7, the screen cuts to a short scene. This lasts about 15 seconds and is the show's only post-credits scene, so you can safely tune out after that.
What does the post-credits scene of Squid Game season 2, episode 7 mean? *SPOILER*
The post-credits sting is very mysterious, but it appears to show players 096, 100 and 353 in front of a very familiar statue: that of Young-Hee. She turns her back on them, just as she does in the first game of both Squid Game competitions, but this time she faces another statue of a child. It's not clear who it is, but the light turns green when the familiar chime can be heard.
What this seems to imply is that there may be a twist on the original game in Squid Game Season 3. Depending on where we left off, it's certainly possible that all the contestants will have to fight for their lives in the arena again. We'll have to wait until 2025 to see what happens.
