IRCTC App

• Open IRCTC app in your mobile phone.
• Log in by entering ID and password.
• Click on 'Train' on the home page.
• Now tap on 'Chart Vacancy'.
• After tapping on 'Chart Vacancy' a new browser page will open. Here you have to enter the train number, date of journey and station name and click on 'Get Train Chart'.
• After clicking on 'Get Train Chart' you will see the options of First AC, Second AC, Third AC, Third Economy and Sleeper Class.
• Now tap on the class in which you want to find the vacant seat. For example, if you want to find a vacant seat in Third AC class, then click on Third AC.
• Now the details of all the vacant seats in Third AC will appear on your screen, from where to where in which coach, which number of seats are vacant.

• Click on IRCTC Website https://www.irctc.co.in/online-charts/.
• Enter train number, date of journey and station name and click on 'Get Train Chart'.
• Now you will see the option of First AC, Second AC, Third AC, Third Economy and Sleeper Class.
• Now tap on the class in which you want to find the vacant seat. For example, if you want to find a vacant seat in sleeper class, then click on sleeper class.
• Now the details of all the vacant seats in sleeper class will appear on your screen, from where to where in which coach, which number of seats are vacant.

As soon as you find a vacant seat, immediately meet the TTE and book the seat by paying the fare. For this seat, TTE will make you a manual ticket, with which you can complete your journey.
