America's newly elected President Donald Trump on Saturday nominated his confidant Kash Patel for the direct post of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). With this, Kash Patel will become the highest ranking Indian American in the upcoming administration. Along with this, Trump has nominated New York real estate developer Charles Kushner as his ambassador to France.
Patel is a warrior who puts America first: Trump
Donald Trump said on his owned social media platform 'Truth Social', 'I am proud to announce that 'Kash' Patel will serve as the next Director of the FBI. “Kash is an outstanding lawyer, investigator and 'Put America First' warrior who has exposed corruption and defended justice and the American people throughout his career.”
Did great work during first term- Trump
Along with this, Trump said, 'Kash did a great job during my first term. During this period, he was the Chief of Staff in the Defense Department, Deputy Director of National Intelligence and Senior Director of Anti-Terrorism Department in the National Security Council. Kash also advocated on behalf of the administration in more than 60 hearings held in the court.
Kash Patel is related to Gujarat
Let us tell you that Kash Patel, born on February 25, 1980 in Garden City, New York, to Gujarati Indian parents, has obtained a bachelor's degree from the University of Richmond. Later he received the degree of Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law. Kash Patel, 44, served as the 'Chief of Staff' to the US acting Defense Secretary in the last few weeks of the then Trump administration in 2017. Born in New York, Patel belongs to Gujarat. However, his mother is from Tanzania in East Africa and his father is from Uganda. He came to America from Canada in 1970. Patel had earlier said in an interview to PTI, 'We are Gujaratis.'
