28 arrested so far

Police have informed that the total arrests so far in connection with the violence in Sambhal have reached 28. 30 police teams have been formed to nab the accused. The accused are being identified with the help of CCTV footage. At the same time, more than 100 photographs of the miscreants have been released. Police have said that the search for the absconding accused is going on and they will soon be in police custody.

The loss will be compensated by the accused

The UP government has made preparations to recover compensation from the accused for the loss of public property caused by the violence. Posters of these stone pelters and miscreants will be put up in public places. Losses will also be recovered from them. Along with this, reward can also be issued on them. The accused named by the police include SP MP Zia-ur-Rehman Burke, Sohail Iqbal, son of local MLA Iqbal Mehmood and 2,750 unidentified persons.

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Dinesh Sharma has given a big statement on the violence in Sambhal. Dinesh Sharma said- “Intentionally instigating riots, targeting police vehicles, open firing, stone pelting, such things will not be accepted in Uttar Pradesh. Whoever is behind this will not be spared. Situation in Sambhal It is absolutely peaceful. Politicians should also avoid making provocative statements.”
