Bihar: East Champaran Police launched vehicle checking campaign, collected fine of Rs 3.85 lakh


Motihari. In Bihar's East Champaran district, police conducted a special vehicle checking operation on Wednesday night, in which many vehicles were seized and fines were collected from many vehicles.

It was told that this campaign was conducted across the district from 9 pm to 11 pm under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Swarn Prabhat. The main objective of this campaign was to take action against vehicles violating safety rules while driving and to prevent various illegal activities.

It was told that in this special campaign, vehicles were checked at a total of 334 places. Police caught 38 triple riding vehicles during investigation and strict action was taken against them. Apart from this, two vehicles without number plates were seized.

During the operation, police also recovered a stolen vehicle. Besides, a total of 370 vehicles were checked and Rs 3.85 lakh was collected as fine. Police also recovered seven motorcycles, 250 liters of foreign liquor and 720 liters of country liquor during the operation.

This action was taken to stop the illicit liquor trade, which is likely to drastically reduce the illicit liquor trade in the district.

Additionally, the police also seized several other important materials. In this action, 201 people were arrested, including those involved in liquor smuggling. The police also succeeded in recovering illegal weapons, which included two countrymade pistols, one pistol, one rifle, 72 cartridges and three magazines. Besides this, the police also recovered a pickup van, a Bolero, seven motorcycles, eight mobile phones and a laptop, which were being used by the criminals.

Superintendent of Police Swarn Prabhat described this campaign as an important step towards controlling crimes. He said that the police will continue such operations so that law and order is maintained in the district and illegal activities can be stopped.

The Superintendent of Police appealed to the people to follow the law keeping their safety in mind and inform the police about any illegal activity.

This type of campaign not only curbs crimes but also sends a message to the public that the police is always ready for their safety.
