The government of the country's capital Delhi had also brought a modern plan to eliminate the growing mountains of garbage. Under this scheme, a plan was made to generate electricity by burning waste. Timarpur-Okhla Waste-to-Energy Plant was introduced to eliminate mountains of waste. However, now this Green Revolution scheme itself has brought dangerous results for the common people. The report has revealed that the smoke from the waste to power project is suffocating 10 lakh people in Delhi. This scheme is not only providing electricity to the people but also serious diseases.
