LG has redefined flexible display technology. The company has introduced the world's first stretchable display, which you can squeeze like a towel. The South Korean company has already introduced stretchable display technology, in which the display can be stretched and lengthened. Although this technology is still in the prototype stage, it has increased the tension of Samsung, the leading company making foldable displays.
There will be 50 percent stretch
LG claims that this stretchable display can stretch up to 50 percent of its size without deteriorating the image quality. While presenting the prototype of its stretchable display, the company has said that it is a 12-inch display, which can be stretched up to 18 inches and it can maintain a resolution of 100 pixels per inch. Even before this, the company had showcased a prototype of one of its stretchable displays in 2022.
The company claims that this flexible display is completely unique, which can be called the ultimate display technology. Like other flexible displays, it can not only be bent or folded, but you can also twist and stretch it like a towel.
Stretch will be done 10 thousand times continuously
This flexible display of LG is made of micro LED, which can be continuously stretched 10 thousand times. Apart from this, it has also been claimed that this display also works at extreme temperatures. While presenting this prototype, the company has also told about its many features. This display can be controlled with touch gestures. Not only this, you can also wear it in your hands.
This stretchable display of LG is very thin and its weight is very less. The company is designing its stretchable display for automotive, wearable sector and other industries. This flexible display of LG can be used in many flagship smartphones, tablets or wearable devices to be launched in the future.
