Market closed in the red for the second consecutive day, Sensex fell by 55 and Nifty by 51 points – Top News Bulletin


Share Market Closing 8th November, 2024: The Indian stock market has seen a decline for the second consecutive day today. However, today's decline was not as severe as yesterday's. Today on Friday, BSE Sensex closed at 79,486.32 points with a fall of 55.47 points. Similarly, Nifty 50 also closed at 24,148.20 points with a fall of 51.15 points. Let us tell you that on Thursday, BSE Sensex closed at 79,541.79 points with a fall of 836.34 points and Nifty 50 also closed at 24,199.35 points with a fall of 284.7 points.

Shares of more than half of Nifty companies closed in the red.

Today, shares of 16 out of 30 BSE Sensex companies closed in the green with gains and shares of the remaining 14 companies closed in the red with losses. Similarly, out of 50 Nifty 50, shares of 23 companies closed in the green with gains and shares of the remaining 27 companies closed in the red with losses.

Strong rise in shares of Mahindra & Mahindra

Shares of Mahindra & Mahindra, included among the 30 Sensex companies, closed today with the highest rise of 2.69 percent. Apart from this, shares of Titan 2.13 percent, Tech Mahindra 1.90 percent, Nestle India 1.44 percent, Infosys 1.31 percent, Hindustan Unilever 1.18 percent, Adani Ports 0.78 percent, JSW Steel 0.69 percent, Sun Pharma 0.64 percent, Power Grid 0.48 percent, HDFC Bank 0.48 percent, Shares of Larsen & Toubro closed with gains of 0.33 per cent, ITC 0.19 per cent, Bajaj Finserv 0.16 per cent, Axis Bank 0.06 per cent and HCL Tech 0.00 per cent.

Big fall in Asian Paints shares

On the other hand, Asian Paints shares saw the biggest decline of 2.61 percent. Shares of Tata Steel 2.22 percent, State Bank of India 1.86 percent, Tata Motors 1.72 percent, Reliance Industries 1.66 percent, NTPC 1.56 percent, ICICI Bank 1.53 percent, Bharti Airtel 0.47 percent, TCS 0.41 percent, UltraTech Cement 0.29 percent, Maruti Suzuki 0.28. Percent, shares of IndusInd Bank closed down by 0.26 percent, Bajaj Finance by 0.11 percent and Kotak Mahindra Bank by 0.04 percent.
