Karnataka Police has arrested a person named Bikaram Bishnoi from Haveri for threatening actor Salman Khan. According to the information received so far, Bikaram Bishnoi had threatened Salman Khan and demanded a ransom of Rs 5 crore. The threat to Salman Khan was in the form of a message sent by the accused to the traffic control room. Now accused Bikaram Bishnoi has revealed why he had asked for ransom from Salman.
The message was sent from Karnataka
Accused Bikaram Jalaram Bishnoi is a native of Jalore district of Rajasthan. Mumbai Police is bringing the accused from Karnataka to Mumbai. On the basis of the threatening message sent, Worli Police Station of Mumbai had registered a case against an unknown person. After investigating the matter, it was found that the message was sent from Karnataka, after which the Mumbai Police team reached Karnataka and with the help of the local police, the accused was arrested.
Accused asked for Rs 5 crore to build temple
The arrested accused said during police interrogation that he is a fan of Lawrence Bishnoi. Accused Bikharam, arrested from Karnataka for threatening and demanding ransom of Rs 5 crore, told the police that I have no regrets, I am going to jail for the Bishnoi community. The accused has said that he was going to give the demand of Rs 5 crore for the construction of a temple of Bishnoi community.
Said to be brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi
According to the information, in the threatening message the accused further threatened that if Salman Khan refused, he would be killed. The accused also identified himself as the brother of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who has been linked to similar threats against the actor in the past. Salman Khan, who has previously received threats from individuals claiming to belong to the Bishnoi community, is yet to publicly comment on the latest developments.
