New Delhi: The Canadian government blocked the page of the social media account of Australian TV news channel 'Australia Today' for showing the press conference of Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar. On this, the Indian Foreign Ministry has given a strong reaction and scolded Canada. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said on Thursday that we have learned that the social media handle, page of an important migrant outlet in Canada has been blocked. This incident has exposed Canada's hypocrisy towards freedom of expression.
Australian channel had shown Jaishankar's PC
Canada took this action hours after the Saksha press conference of Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and his counterpart in Australia Penny Wong. In this PC, Jaishankar had raised the issue of Canada accusing India without any evidence. Australian channel telecasted this PC in Canada.
