Tehran: The fire of protest against hijab has once again intensified in Iran. A student at the University of Science and Research in Tehran took off her clothes in protest against harassment over hijab rules. After this she started walking naked in the crowded crowd. Subsequently, it is alleged that he was violently beaten, arrested and allegedly transferred to a psychiatric ward by the Iranian regime. But this courageous performance of the Iranian student has created a stir in the whole world including Tehran.
An Iranian writer Mariam Namazi has shared the photo and video of this student on her social media X handle. Mariam Namazi writes that “Her courageous naked protest against the misogyny of Iran's Islamic regime has resonated around the world. When a regime is obsessed with controlling women's bodies, nudity and resistance are an important form of defiance Maryam Namazie has written that a woman's body is an instrument of liberation. Women's life needs freedom only through women's bodies.
There was a huge protest against hijab in 2022
Women's opposition to the hijab in Iran is not new. Even before this, in 2022, 22-year-old girl Mahsa Amini, who was protesting against hijab, had died in police custody. After this, women took to the streets all over the country after removing their burqas. A large number of men were also protesting in his support. However, Iran forcefully suppressed this protest. Many protesters were later hanged.
