Bank Holidays in November 2024: There are plenty of holidays in the next month i.e. November also. There will be a total of 13 days of bank holidays in November. Before talking about Diwali holidays, banks in North India remain closed on Diwali and Bhai Dooj, which falls two days after Diwali. Banks in western states like Gujarat and Maharashtra may remain closed for additional days like Dhanteras and Gujarati New Year. In South India, Diwali holiday is of short duration. Usually it lasts for one day.

Banks will remain closed for 4 days on Diwali

Banks will remain closed across the country on Thursday, October 31 due to Diwali. After this, on Friday, November 1, there will be a holiday for banks in Agartala, Belapur, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Gangtok, Imphal, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Shillong and Srinagar on Govardhan. Due to Bhai Dooj on November 2, there will be a bank holiday in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Gangtok, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai and Nagpur. November 2 is also the second Saturday, hence banks will remain closed across the country. After this, there will be a weekly holiday for banks on 3rd November due to Sunday. In this way, this time banks will remain closed for 4 consecutive days in many places in the country.

When will there be bank holidays in November?

  • November 1 (Friday): Banks will remain closed in Tripura, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Sikkim and Manipur due to Diwali, Kut Mahotsav and Kannada Rajyotsava.
  • November 2 (Saturday): Banks will remain closed in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh on Diwali (Bali Pratipada) / Balipadyami / Lakshmi Puja (Deepawali) / Govardhan Puja / Vikram Samvat New Year Day.
  • November 3 (Sunday): There will be a weekly holiday for banks across the country.
  • November 7 (Thursday): Banks will remain closed on the occasion of Chhath (Evening Arghya) in states like Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand.
  • November 8 (Friday): Banks will remain closed on the occasion of Chhath (Morning Arghya)/Vangla Festival in states like Bihar, Jharkhand and Meghalaya.
  • November 9 (Saturday): Due to the second Saturday of the month, all banks will remain closed across the country.
  • November 10 (Sunday): There will be a weekly holiday for banks across the country.
  • November 12 (Thursday): Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Hyderabad-Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, Nagaland, Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Banks will remain closed in Srinagar on the occasion of Egas-Bagwal.
  • November 15 (Friday): Mizoram, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Hyderabad-Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, Nagaland, Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Banks will remain closed in Srinagar on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti / Kartik Purnima / Rahas Purnima.
  • November 17 (Sunday): There will be a weekly holiday for banks across the country.
  • November 18 (Monday): Banks will remain closed in Karnataka on the occasion of Kanakadas Jayanti.
  • November 23 (Saturday): Banks will remain closed in Meghalaya on the occasion of Seng Kutsnem. Due to it being the second Saturday of the month, all banks will remain closed across the country.
  • November 24 (Sunday): There will be a weekly holiday for banks across the country.
