Mumbai . A case has been registered against film producer Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor under the POCSO Act. He is accused of showing obscene content related to minors in the web series 'Gandi Baat' of OTT platform 'Alt Balaji'.
Ekta Kapoor is considered the queen of the TV industry. Faced some failures in the beginning but then took off and presented many hit family dramas.
But then with time, in search of something new, obscene content started appearing. Ordinary characters were seen crossing the limits of boldness. This is the reason why a complaint was filed against him in Indore, Madhya Pradesh in 2020. Then Alt Balaji's XXX web series was accused of insulting the army personnel.
Ekta Kapoor entered the industry at a very young age. He did an internship under the tutelage of advertising and feature film producer Kailash Surendranath. Soon she took financial help from her actor father Jitendra and became a producer under the banner of Balaji Telefilms.
His early projects were unsuccessful, with 6 pilot episodes being rejected. Then the comedy show 'Hum Paanch' gave him the taste of success. Ekta not only got success with 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' and 'Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki' but these were two such shows which changed the direction of Hindi television.
'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' and 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki' became superhit shows of Balaji Telefilms and created a new wave through television.
After making a strong hold on TV shows, Ekta also entered the world of films. She hit the big screen with the film 'Kyunki Main Jhooth Nahi Bolta' opposite Govinda. After this he made horror films 'Kuch To Hai' and 'Krishna Cottage'. The special thing is that through these films he worked to bring forward television actors.
Along with horror, Ekta also made the comedy film 'Kya Kool Hain Hum'. He also produced a periodcrime drama 'Shootout at Lokhandwala' and 'Love Sex Aur Dhoka' directed by National Award winning filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee, the content of which was quite controversial. Ekta is known for experimenting with stories.
