Hunt the ghosts in Phasmophobia
Kinetic Games just released a new trailer for Phasmophobia for consoles during the Xbox Partner Preview. This trailer confirms that the game will be in early access on consoles on October 29, 2024. So get ready for chilling thrills this Halloween when players on PS5, PS VR2, Xbox Series X/S and Steam can team up with friends for an adventure .
Not only is Phasmophobia coming to early access consoles, but it's also reaching a huge milestone. Since debuting in Early Access on Steam in 2020, this ghost hunting phenomenon has sold nearly 20 million copies worldwide and racked up over 550,000 overwhelmingly positive reviews. With numbers like these, it has established itself as one of the most beloved games on the platform, and the enthusiasm only grows.
“We are very happy to see Phasmophobia enter console early access” Stated Daniel Knight, CEO and lead developer of Kinetic Games. “The community has been asking for console versions and waiting a bit for it to happen. The Kinetic Games development team has worked exceptionally hard to make this request a reality.”
To celebrate the amazing community, there will also be a special Halloween event for the first time. It will feature a goal-oriented community task where players can work together to permanently unlock Blood Moon's haunting weather. Additionally, players will be able to earn a new badge and trophy by completing different community objectives.
The PC version will receive an update that improves overall performance, fixes bugs reported by the community, and introduces a new event board full of new challenges and rewards.
Phasmophobia is now available for PC via Steam. The PS5, PS VR2 and Xbox X/S will arrive on October 29, 2024 for $19.99/£16.75/€19.50.
