An IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Delhi was diverted to Ahmedabad on Wednesday after receiving a bomb threat. However, it was later revealed that this was a rumour. An unknown person claimed through a tweet
According to the news, an official of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport said that soon after the flight took off from Mumbai on Tuesday night, an unidentified person claimed through a tweet that a bomb had been planted in the plane, in which about 200 passengers and crew were on board. After being alerted by Mumbai ATC, the pilots decided to make an emergency landing at Ahmedabad airport, which was the nearest airport when the plane was en route to Delhi, the official said.
