London: A Pakistani citizen has been sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering an Indian-origin restaurant operator in Britain. The British court has given this punishment to a 25-year-old man of Pakistani origin. It is being told that an Indian restaurant manager was murdered by a Pakistani citizen. Now the court has sentenced him to life imprisonment in this case.
The incident took place on February 14 this year in Reading, south-east England, when the restaurant manager was hit by a car while returning home on a bicycle, killing him. Pakistani citizen Shajeb Khalid was found accused in this incident. After this the British police arrested him. The Pakistani national was convicted last month of murdering Indian-origin Vignesh Pattabhiraman, 36, following a trial at Reading Crown Court and was sentenced earlier this week.
Investigating officer happy with the punishment given to Pakistani
The investigating officers also seem happy with the life imprisonment of a Pakistani who killed an Indian-origin citizen by hitting him with a car. Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Brangwyn, senior investigating officer in the Major Crime Unit at Thames Valley Police, said: “I am pleased with the lengthy sentence handed down to Khalid. This shows the truly despicable nature of his actions.” (Language)
